Sunday, 24 June 2007
i just realised my homework wasnt completed for the holidays;
when i discovered the Pen Awards registration form tucked neatly between my chemistry notes.
Think along this guideline:
Write about how you made a difference.
Story must be non-fictional and MUST be based on a true account.

uh huh.
so ... have you made a difference?
i rmb Miss Teo discusing it in class,
about how she made a difference in her friend's life by offering to study with her when she couldnt make it for her english paper at the NIE.
but that was years ago and she only found out recently.

me?
i'm not sure if i've actually made any difference with my existance.
i mean, even if i did,
i dont expect people running up to me and start saying,
'Hey, thanks for making a difference in my life.'
something like that or probably less direct.
or maybe,
the difference i made was terrible, horrible and utterly incorrigible,
and that person would have meant to say it to me with lots of sarcasm pumped in.
whatever the case.
i've thought of several differences i've made over the years with my existance.
for an instance.
i think i made a difference in my aunt's and my dog's life by showing them exactly how they can live life luxuriously- sleeping on a comforter, eating like royalty, and watching tv.
or perhaps,
that fateful day when my primary school clique and i went to bury my friend's dead hamster under a tree in a bid to generate fossil fuel in the future. our future generations would probably find oil under their roofs one day.
maybe...
i made a difference by telling the pri 1 girl- whom i was supposed to take care of as my buddy sister, the curry fishballs the auntie sold in my school's canteen tasted terrible.
or probably,
...........
hahhahha.
i think thats about all i've thought of.
if i were to go on..
i would probably exaggerate the details a little... to make it sound like a BIG idea.
hahahs.
xD

so guess,
i need to make a difference,
before the closing date-
which is the 31st of July.
i have...
exactly- 37 days from today.
wish me luck!
=DD

we need to talk. my friend.
