dolor.
So sometimes it happens this way when you least expect it too. Or maybe you expect it when you least want it to happen. You are faced with numerous perspectives, but only 2 comes to mind; To embrace the outcome no matter how disastrous it may be, or To avoid it at all costs.

But there's no other way isn't it? If you take into consideration too many perspectives, you go berserk. So you select the simplest. The choice is obvious. If you're kiasu, you Embrace the outcome. If you're kiasee, you Avoid it.

I? I did nothing stated above. I don't accept fate, and I won't ignore it. I take it on my way. (:

Seriously, if you try to dig emotions out of me, I will only display anger, and that usual euphoria. Maybe sadness too. But nothing more. Its a habitual thing, a physical reflex I conditioned myself to do. Feelings are kept close to my heart, and its hidden right underneath slabs of fats and lean meat. Can't figure and you prolly never will. Assume but you will never be reassured. It comes along with that cold blood that runs in my veins I guess.

Then I realize I get upset with myself when I bottle up too much. I haven't found that consolation I've been seeking at times like these. The pursuit of sensitivity so distinct has disheartened me so many times. Maybe, you're just not it.

Too many feelings. Emotions are running away with me.

today was loads of FUN w/ Gary!! (: apart from that nerve wrecking moment during the exchange of words with the manager of Kelly Services at the International Plaza Branch, everything else was great!

We ate at my favorite Pasta de Waraku outlet at the Central @ Clarke Quay! The supposed surprise was exposed 300 meters away from the destination by Gary, roar. -.- BUT! Lunch was still HEAVENLY. woohooo~
Went off to Marina Square soon after without much aim. Oh wells. Then we had a game of Bowling. LOL. btw,
GARY IS PRO k.
Never EVER believe him when he says, 'I'm Just Average lah.'

Bowling, to me, was just rolling the ball to hit pins! I literally just walk up to the alley, raise the ball slightly higher than my waist, swing it 35 degrees back and fling it in front so it starts rolling. THIS, is average.

Bowling, to Gary, apparently wasn't as humble as he sounded. He has that STYLE can!?! Count the number of steps to take before halting before the marked line of the alley, cross the right leg behind the left leg, stretch the left hand while swinging the ball all the way behind, and thrusting it in front swiftly. ROAR. -.- He made me feel seriously noob. His score was twice of mine.

We went over to Suntec afterward to bank in his paycheck. Deposited mine too. (: HEEHEE. Then Gary tried out the free game stations outside the Star Factory. Well, there were 4 stations. First, golf putting, second, table tennis, third, the Dice, and Last, Pool. Okay, Gary was first and foremost, just interested in golf. But apparently, playing was FREE! and the number of attempts was unlimited. (: so he went ahead. HAHA.

Golf was rather, un- simple. it was a mini U- shaped course, and the ball has to go in within 4 tries. Gary attempted it twice to succeed! HAHA. The rest was preeety simple to him I guess. He managed to hit the table tennis ball 15 times without pausing within a minute. Then he threw a dice. And lastly - pool. There was this simple miniature pool table, a cue stick, and a ball. The table has several holes, with the one right in the middle being the toughest to reach (which means, if the ball lands there, you get the first prize.) And, he did it in a try. LOL. SERIOUSLY, he made it seem SO SIMPLE can. ROAR. SOOOOOOOooooo simple, that the others watching wanted to try too. He won himself 3 vouchers and a cosmetic bag. laugh out loud. And honestly, I was very proud to be standing there when he won. :P

Then we went over to the Star Factory -> Its an Arcade. LOL! (: we had one round of soccer. and one round of some fighting thing. OH WELLS! GARY WON. -.- (honestly, I began to doubt his abilities. I think I cannot underestimate him. :P) The session was seriously tiresome somehow, so we had a drink at The Coffee Bean and chatted. Have no idea how long though. Just talked.

We then made out way to Pool Junction! ohkay. not straight away. We stopped by for Rocher tau huey. LOL. THEN we played pool for an hour. Gee. It was fun. BUT THEN AGAIN. GARY IS PRO. -.- So I felt like a noob again. hahaha! But the experience was good luh. (: Feel proud to be playing with a pro at the same table. :P Then we had Braised Beef Noodles with Radish Soup for dinner! I was seriously, starving.
Went home soon after, kinda drifted halfway through and almost went the wrong way. But I met Joe. LOL. Thanks Joe. (:

Any oh how. I'm home! (: And tml is Gym, Gelare and shopping Galore with Ruth and ZY! WOOHOO! :D yays!

Sorry for making you worry.

YUAN YUAN IS OFF TO BANGKOK WITH HIS DAD! ): boohoo;
oh wells. Hope he comes back soon! which is, this Sunday.
awww; :S

i've received my Singapore GP Shirts for the F1 Race! YAYness.
but the walk AROUND the circuit park was no yayness. -.- ohkay, whatever you see on teevee is a sham. You cheer and scream when the cars zoom past and they clock record breaking timings after each lap, but honestly, its really not THAT cool when you attempt to walk A lap yourself. Especially under the scorching sun. The entire retail team took more than an hour attempting to complete the entire circuit park for the race and looking at the stalls, which were literally IDENTICAL (so what's the use of going the round in the first place?!)
ROAR.

We walked from Suntec Convention Centre to Kallang River under the blaze. And they left us there to fend for ourselves. I almost died of heatstroke figuring my way back to Suntec. First I was desperately looking for a bus stop. But there wasn't any. Then I was looking for a MRT station, and Gary said the nearest one was Kallang. BUT I COULDN'T FIND ANY. so i gave up. and I asked the banglah sweeper. GOODNESS; when I found my family in Carrefour, I was pale like white paper. (okay, not exactly white since I have darker skin. :P but you get what I mean.)

oh wells. (: but my daddy was nice, he treated us to NEWYORKNEWYORK! Woohoo! So my daddy got his Seafood Platter for 2 with my mum, my sis got JiggyPiggy and I got an American Ribeye steak with Mushroom Sauce. My sister and I ordered Root Beer Floats too! (: So Dinner was seriously awesome.

The Half Drunk Root Beer Floats. (:

and my mum and dad swallowing the Platter.

evil wrong doer.
I've let my self down. All my dominance, principles, arrogance, and greediness have led to this. Just when I was thinking the whole wide world has left me in dismay, I realized what a jerk I have been. The moment I let my guard down and make an assumption, I overlook a detail and cause a calamity. How tiring meticulousness has made my life.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go back on my word.
): I'm really sorry.

ridiculous mother and the frustrated couple.
ohhoho. I realized parents really have a flair for ranting about their troubles at work. I guess its because of the immense 'stress' that they have to juggle at their office. Ohkay, generally speaking most adults in the working society do face real stress from their superiors and bosses, but my mum? I seriously beg to differ.

Her troubles at work always arise from her. So basically, SHE is the Trouble. Her job scope covers only basic admin work, which includes filing, typing and processing word documents. That leaves her with plenty of time to do many other things, which include, going round and causing trouble. HAHA.

Her MAIN problem? HER FIERY SHORT TEMPER and STUBBORNNESS. It would prolly cause her downfall too. She's not really tactful, so from all her rantings for the past few years, I figured she already offended every single human in her office, including her superiors, and is still oblivious to the fury she has enraged. -.- How INNOCENT.

As usual, she was ranting about another of her colleague. This time, a colleague she recommended into her company. I don't think he's really grateful to her, even though he got the job through her, simply because she's very domineering. She thinks she's great, because SHE got HIM the job. So she couldn't tolerate it when he asked her casually to help him out with a random chore like bringing a bag of coffee powder over, or passing a message. And she exploded when she found out he poured coffee for another colleague and didn't for her. Her reason for the eruption?

'I RECOMMENDED HIM THE JOB LEI. HE WORK SO LONG NEVER POUR COFFEE FOR ME. THAT MAN COMPLAINED ABOUT HIM TO THE BOSS BEFORE, HE STILL POUR COFFEE FOR HIM, YOU TELL ME SYLVIA, THIS IS NOT RIGHT RIGHT? ITS ABOUT PRINCIPLES IN LIFE!'

yeah right. NOT.
she seriously should just, get a life.
so WHAT if she found him the job mann?!
It is HIS EFFORT that he managed to keep the job till now, not hers!? SO, under WHAT circumstances does he have to be THAT grateful to her? ITS NOT AS IF SHE SAVED HIS LIFE, AND AWWWW, that was sooooooooo NICE OF HER. NOT.
And my mum LOVES to tell people that HE got the job because of HER. I mean, HOW DEGRADING IS THAT?! Nobody would want to let anyone find out that they found a job by pulling strings. How considerate of my mum. -.-

oh wells. ohkay, before I start spilling, I'd better just leave it at that. What a nice mummy.

right, anyway, Today, I received the 3rd phone call of the month, from people who thought I was a staff at HighPoint Community Service Association.
first, it was a resident at East Coast who asked about the upcoming dates where High Pointers would be going down to collect recycling bags.
then it was the Raffles Institution teacher who was interested in bringing her class down to High Point for an orientation to let them know more about their cause.

Today was a really frustrated couple. An angmoh, Bernie, and a Singaporean, Sheena.
They didn't really bother to find out whether they actually reached High Point. They just ranted about how frustrated, tired and afraid they were, since they had to shift their moving of house to a later date and they were being chased out of their current condominium. Well, I couldn't figure out what the both of them were saying anyway. But all i could figure, was that they were REALLY TERRIFIED and at a loss.

Oh wells. As a normal human with a sore throat, I consoled them with some random jokes (they thought I was being so kind to take time out to talk to them because they assumed I was a working adult.) and contacted Steven and Jesse in Tioman. Honestly, they were smiling over the phone. (You know, when you smile and talk to someone on the phone, it is really easy to detect that joy you exude.) LOL. So I didn't exactly spoil their fun, just told them to expect a call when they get back. (: When I called Bernie back, he was frantically thanking me (for just calling him back). It feels good some how, to know you have done a good deed. I really hope they don't have to resort to sleeping on the streets! That would seriously be terrible. Any - oh - how. I hope that lil' wee bit of reassurance worked. (:

DESPITE ALL THAT, I was just wondering. When are they EVER going to take my phone number down from their website? LOL. I can't keep posing as a Staff at High Point! goodness.

oh wells. I had a RARE VISITOR today! (: teehee*

Coincidences Result in Joy
oh ho. the release of results brought much joy. i think. (: Received a surprise call from zy in the morning at 0900 then I happily went back to sleep. GEE, so I guess I was really 'late'.
BUT EVEN WHEN I REACHED GARY'S, HE WAS STILL SLEEPING CAN. ROAR. lol.
the first thing I did was log into NPAL to check my results. HAHA! and I was pleased I guess. ZHUANG YING's RESULTS DAMN ZAI. x)) RUTH FLO JESPER DID WELL TOO!! and Gary did fantastic. (:
hoorayie~
spending time with Gary was much fun.

the journey back home was delightfully filled with much coincidences.

first, while waiting for a train on the NEL platform (there is no need to disclose the specific station)on the way back to Hougang, I met this random stranger again. He is no longer random, i guess, since he has become a familiar face. Basically, every time i board the NEL train at peak hours, at any random door, he would just appear. No, I'm NOT stalking him, neither is he. Pure coincidence which I found rather queer. He alighted at Hougang too. Even he found it strange I guess, cause we exchanged confused stares once in a while during the ride. Oh wells. x)

then I met Noel in the mall. he lives kinda far away from Hougang mall, though it is still within the boundaries of Hougang. But back to the point. He didnt look like Noel. Prolly because my vision was SERIOUSLY Blurred (GARY YOU KNOW WHY? ...), and I was just randomly rushing through the crowd as usual, and he was just a blue kid walking. then he tapped and walked past without looking back. I turned, and he looked like some Big Burly Blue Monster on the loose can! FREAKED ME OUT LIKE SHYT. -.- lol. neway, exchanged a few words and I ran off for dinner at lvl 4. (: what a coincidence eh.

last? I met a couple of my secondary school mates. Specifically, the numerical value is 4. 2 pretty girls and 2, guys. seriously. I never actually meet them so many times in nc high, but I just wonder how come I see them so many times out of nc high. haha! coincidental i think.

it was so much fun right! :D life's awesome because of small coincidences like these. :D and All the Best to JC students! PROMOS ARE UP! heehee. x)
AMANDA Has A Sushee and Teppanyaki Date with Me After Promos!
YUEYUE Has To Go To Genting With Me After Promos!
POWPOW Has To Go To Genting With NCWO and YUEYUE and ME After Promos!

right, and I owe Kaung a treat. lol.

HAHA. HOW FUN! x))

the Youth Olympics 2008
I was just about to turn in when my hp buzzed. It was actually YUANYUAN! It wasn't exactly a shock nor a surprise, but more of discomposure, since I realized I totally forgot to accomplish what I promise I'd do. oops.

But it was a really simple task, really. He just needed just one more page on the Feelings and Expectation of the Youth Olympic Games 2010 from a youth.
This really reminded me of the susheee outing. While waiting for people to arrive, a group of teens interviewed me on my views on the Youth Olympics too. So it struck me as something really odd when YUANYUAN got me to do the same thing, only difference with it being a written document. Oh wells. I took about 20 minutes to type it out on MS Word 07, and when I was done, I couldn't believe what I wrote. HAHA.

Singapore is selected as the host for the first ever, inaugural Youth Olympics Games in the Year 2010. It was really a moment to remember as Singaporeans young and old, stared at the television screen, with much anxiety as the President of the International Olympic Committee, Jacques Rogge officially announced the results from the selection. As a youth sitting at the back of the SBS Bus, I punched my fists into the air as I heard the results, along with several other passengers who all shared the same form of anxiety. Having the Youth Olympics held right here, in our homeland, was a great boost to the pride of all Singaporeans, young and old.

The Youth Olympics is a junior version of the Olympic Games, where teens aged 14-18 will compete to bring their country glory and of course, to themselves, that sense of self achievement. Upon realizing that Singapore would be hosting the Games in 2010, as a youth, I was almost motivated to pick up a sport, try to excel in it, and reach international standards to compete to make my nation proud. Big dreams do devour me some times though, but at least with that increase in awareness that millions of youths out there are doing sports and excelling in them, it has spurred me to pick up a sport, and lead a healthy lifestyle.

The Youth Olympics has also brought to the attention of many youths, the kind of sportsmanship one should have while doing sports. Winning is glorifying, but losing with humility is yet another virtue many youths should keep in mind when growing up as they face numerous obstacles and setbacks in their growing years. Ever since Singapore was selected as the host for the Youth Olympics 2010, I have seen an increase in the number of children who picked up at least one sport in my residential neighborhood. The badminton court beside the void deck is always bustling with young children with badminton racquets, the football court is packed with budding Beckham wannabes and the fitness corner now has more teens than elderly who train their abs and muscles. It is really particularly pleasant to know that more parents are encouraging their children to take up sports with all that sporting events on the rise.

Having watched athletes compete at the actual Olympics, all that drive and passion for the sport they were taking part in really captured my attention as I watched their performance on screen; and I expect even more from the Youths taking part in the Youth Olympics in 2 years to come. Youths are younger, more vibrant and energetic, and with that youthful passion in them, it is not too much to expect more world records to be broken by the Youths rather than the adults who participated in the Olympic Games recently. The youths who will participate in the Youth Olympics in 2 years to come will bring about so much joy and dynamism that Singaporeans will definitely be enthralled with as we witness the emergence of new athletes with eminent potential.

I suppose, not only I, but many other Singaporeans share the same views as I do. The Youth Olympics in 2010 would be a spectacular and mind blowing event, as fresh and young sportsmen gather to prove to the world, what difference youths can make.

LOL. honestly, it wasn't entirely lies. I WAS motivated to lead a healthy lifestyle - by visiting the gym with ZY, Flo, Ruth, Aggy and Val more often, NOT by picking up a new sport and try to excel in it. btw, punching my fists in the air in the bus was just crap. I WAS watching it in an SBS Transit Bus, but who the heck in the right mind would attempt such an embarrassing stunt in the midst of so many people in a public vehicle?! HAHA! Oh goodness. Liar Liar. I hope my pants wouldn't catch fire. x))

Goodnight People; cause I'm off to bed with more panadols again.

the recovery.
gees, Panadols really work! (: I ate 4 in a row to subside my fever. That made me really drowsy though, because I was in a daze all day long.
Lying on the bed for so long made me detest it so. The many thoughts that ran through my mind as I lay there were such a tremendous torture to my already burning brain.
I'm so sorry I can't make it for the SAM Flea Market though Ruth and Flo!

ANYWAY, I soooooo LOVE my calendar of events for the rest of the year!
2 more trips with people I love, the return of my dearest cousin from Qatar, birthday celebrations for my bro and sis, and CHRISTMAS! HAHA! What a lovely way to end my first year in poly.
So I guess this is one of the many reasons why I love my life so. (:

where were you when i needed you most. ):

wrretched illness.
swollen eyes. scratchy voice. painful throat. running nose.
i'm awfully ill and that sucks.
the weather isn't helping much either.
:(

quick quick. Hurry up!

Friday, 12 September 2008
HOHO. this morning was HECTIC. the ultimate CHAOS. woohoO!
I woke up later than the alarm clock, as usual, and dillied and dallied. and before i know it, IT WAS 0930!!!!! ROAR.
and i had to finish breakfast, shower, pack up, send my sis off to her student care center, submit a photo at tanjong pagar, and reach ngee ann ALL BEFORE 1200pm!!
so i was practically sprinting. HEEHEE- and i kinda stunned a couple of office ladies in killer heels while rushing. 2 almost fell over, so i kinda ruined their balancing act. oops.

anyway, i only managed to set foot in ngee ann at 1210pm. But the event only starts at 1300?! So i guess i was still early, HEHEH.
It was the Citi - Ideas Exhibition 2008, jointly organized by Citibank and the Learning Society, and it was held in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Convention Centre! (:
Students from Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels were all there to display their research and prototypes of their invention.

For instance, there was Pasir Ris Crest Secondary School with their One - Man Stretcher prototype. I thought it was pretty awesome since stretchers usually need at least 4 humans to function, but now it only requires 1! FABULOUS. because this increases productivity of the medic team. Moreover, they thought of it when they were having their annual cross country, where 4 people had to be mobilized to move a stretcher with one injured human on it. This shows that innovative minds are always active, anywhere, anytime. COOL!

Apart from that, almost the entire BA envoys team there were just running about and interacting with the kids there. We stumbled upon this group of REALLY REALLY CUTE KIDS! They were story telling, with their really endearing and adorable voices. WOAH HO, it wasn't the story line that captured all our hearts, but their voice. (:

Photobucket
and here they are!!! The 2 girls were the main hoo-ha. The taller one was the story teller and her name's Hui Ling. The shorter one was Gloria, and she's seriously adorable and hyperactive. Both of them were the cuteeest kids i've ever seen in the entire day! GOODNESS.

I saw Qi Jun too! He was at the Anderson Junior College Booth, and they were really professional with their blue blazers. (: meeting a hybridian in Ngee Ann was absolutely heart warming. (:

The Envoys were seriously very high! We had loads of fun cheering for the teams when they were up on stage receiving their well - deserved certificates of achievement from a Very - Important - Person (i have no idea who). (; Oh, how much fun. (:
heehee. Ruth and I bought a Crunchie after that to fill our growling tummies!!! (: YUMMY YUMM YUM! :D
ROAR. (: Then i made my way back to hougang.

Fulfilling day! (: serious.
ozy : HOPE YOU SAW SONG HYE GYO! and I think HYUN BIN is with her in SG lei. gosh.

the job scam.
HAHA!
i changed my blogskin finally.
(: got kinda sick with the pink one.
edited this skin a lil. hope the creator won't find out. oops. (probability is close to ZERO.)
i've also uploaded the dive pictures up on this blog! You just have to scroll down a lil more. (:
anyway, I'M EMPLOYED! xD thanks to gary and Kelly Services.
for 3 days for the F1 Race as a Buffer Retail Staff from the 26th - 28th September. WooHoo!
i feel happy. i feel happy. i feel happy. i feel happy.
x))

right. anyway, i was scammed the other day. :(
i was happily flipping the Cats Classified Pages in The Newpaper just the other day, (ohkay, to be precise, MONDAY) and i stumbled upon this lil' column that printed, 'IMMEDIATE JOB VACANCIES FOR FULL TIME/PART TIME/FREELANCE Call/SMS XXXX XXXX if interested'

Right, so I did what it said. SMS. (calling would really be an insane move on my part considering the fact that I only have 100minutes free and I have clocked 28 hours of outgoing calls already this month. -.- roar.)
surprisingly, i got an immediate reply stating that i was up for an interview at 3pm that same day. WOOHOO! sounds cool. NOT.

it was at EUNOS. MDIS Building. So i had the false impression that i was gonna work for MDIS. turns out, MDIS shifted to a larger compound and rented the space out to companies. and nahh, i shan't mention the name of the company.
so i got acquainted with the fella on the phone. said hi. and filled in a form. the form was short. not very sweet. but really pointless. it only required my name, tel, address, medical background and family members' names. -.- way to go mann.
they were selling health products. and honestly, i saw them all before. because my distant relative used to sell them.

i went for a lil' walk around their office. sat for a 3 hour talk about the success stories of the business managers who rose from being sales agents.
initially, i was friggin' amused by the speaker who was demonstrating chemistry tests on their ionized water. i figured any human who passed o level chemistry would understand what a joke he was.

He made comparisons between neutral h2o and ionized h2o. so he stated that he could prove ionized water has more 'energy' - by using two free ends of an open circuit with a bulb attached. So you apply the chemistry laws. Ions are free to move when in liquid and are hence able to carry the current. Inversely, water without ions would not be able to carry any current since h2o molecules are covalently bonded. (: SO OBVIOUSLY, its not about the 'energy' in the water, its about the conductivity of the fluid the circuit is put into. ... so basically, they treated the entire audience as retarded kids, and the entire audience did respond like retarded kids. They applauded with much delight.

He also stated, that ionized water was much healthier since it could neutralize the harmful effects of germs and bacteria. His replacement of germs and bacteria? - Iodine Solution. So he dropped a few drops into both ionized water and neutral normal water, and WALLAH, the one in ionized water 'disappeared' and the one in neutral water remained. -.- Apply chemistry again. Iodine Solution is iodine solid dissolved in water. So it become iodine ions. When aqueous iodine is reacted with ionized water, the negative iodine ions reacts with the positive ions in the water and forms a soluble substance which is white and the negative ions left in the water so happens to be colorless and hence, the result appears to be as clear as 'water'. On the contrary, because normal h2o consists of only covalent molecules, they do not react, and hence, is unable to dissolve aqueous iodine. ROAR. so much for NEUTRALIZING GERMS AND BACTERIA. anyway, since when did iodine and its properties resemble a germ or bacteria?!

okay, you won't want to know more about the nonsense i heard about the 6 'spectacular' properties of the ionized water they were selling.
i almost fell asleep after that. tried to keep awake. so after the session, had to sit for almost an hour more, as more people tried to persuade the noobs to join their company. when i eventually said no, they sat me down and tried to talk to me even more. They only asked me for a reason (which i was really excited to give) why I didn't want to come for the training when i yawned out loud. duh. i think the reasons are obvious. HAHA. so i started to give lame reasons. and surprisingly, it only took them 2 to realise they were lame reasons. HOHO (not bad, especially since i made it friggin' obvious) RIGHT. and they finally let me off. almost punched my fists into the air with delight when i stepped out of the building, but i contained my joy.

CRAP SHIT. it was sucha hilarious scene watching people gasp in awe as those business managers show off their 5 figure paychecks. YEAH YEAH. you'll all hear the success stories. out of the hundreds and thousands who joined this company like fools all these years, only this handful emerged and enjoyed the wealth they dreamt of when they first joined the company. YOOHOO, this is reality, only the strongest AND fittest survive. And I don't think these people, who are currently exuding that fame and confidence, are careless enough to let their guard down and let some weird newbie steal their show. What idiots. hmmm.

any oh how, i'm really glad i survived it. Had much fun disturbing the people. HEEHEE.
lalalala. now i know. i'll never ever dial a number in The Newpaper again. Never. (:

How I Thought I Could Develop an Attractive Personality
i wrote a lil' composition the other day. (the same day i posted WAKE UP SYLVIA)
someone close gave me a topic, to divert my attention. and to really wake me up.
i was really in a dilemma on how i was adapting and fitting into society.
and the title was. "How you think you could develop an attractive personality."

ohkay. i did start writing immediately. and i don't really deem it a composition, because my sentences were short and almost incomplete.
and i thought i should share it.
so here goes,

We like to have ourselves understood and appreciated, and sympathy is welcome to us all.
There are few people in this world who at some time or other do not actively need the sympathetic touch from somebody whom they have faith and confidence in. When they receive it, that person becomes attractive in their eyes, no matter what they external condition may be.
Whoever can touch successfully the deep strings of human feelings has already found the secret of attractiveness and personality. It is people who leave us cold whom we say they have no personality. But when we are warmed, encouraged and stimulated by companionship, even slightly, we know that we have found a fellowship which we desire.
Whenever we make an effort, no matter how modest the success is, we like to have the effort appreciated, by which we simply mean, given its real value. We wish to feel that what we've done is properly appraised.
Inwardly, people treasure and cherish the casual kind word, bright glance of cheer, and the warm glance of appreciation, and these form the basis of fresh effort and greater zeal, and they are the breeders of affection that never dies.
You need to be fresh, resilient, and abounding in vitality and force. Then you can spread courage and enthusiasm. It is remarkable what a vigorous physical power, scintillating with vitality does in general company. Things look brighter and the whole tone of assembly changes when such a person walks in.
You must be well, because only healthy people can function happily and help fully in social life or any other.
It loses itself in life of others. You must lose your life to save it.
When you are inherently a part of them by your abounding power, your charm, your sympathy, your appreciation and your fundamental spiritual integrity, you have then, and only then passed the stage of self interest, to the stage of mutuality and that you must do to make others feel that you are part of themselves and they then love you as a part of themselves.

after that, i blogged. and fell right asleep.
now when i think back,
i figured i was senselessly retarded.
HAHA.
but yeah.

Don't repel.
Be distinctive.
Inspire confidence.

HAHAHA.

WAKE UP SYLVIA.
had this spur to blog w/ a title after doing some work.
and i had a little time with myself. (staring at the computer screen and all)
it had a magical effect on me.
somehow.

though i was pretty brain dead. and i'm mentally worn out.
i really focused on reflecting on this entire year.
and i realized the transitions - from who i was then, and who i am now.
the transient periods were vague.
but i know I passed that stage of self interest to a stage of mutuality once, then moved back to square one again.
i can't even grasp what i'm doing nowadays.
I may have went out with countless of people but can remember nothing I've done.
I've done many things, read up on numerous issues and objects. and nothing gets in.
Nothing significant. or maybe I've too much pride to swallow.

had this brain block.
it wasn't because of the bad mental state i'm in.
but because the block was intentional by my sub conscience.
i know I'm hiding things from my own self.
some things i know but refused to accept.
some things I've seen but refused to agree with.
its incorrigible of me. but I've done it.
how great.

A veil for deceitfulness.
That superiority and ability to damage us against, or to overwhelm us against our will.
The necessary thing always is to be very sure before we yield ourselves, to see that we have not deluded ourselves of our strength of criticism, so that we can judge between what is desirable and what is undesirable.

the world's casting me aside.
and i'm wasting away.

it only takes ONE; to make a difference.

ONE degrading statement to change an opinion.
ONE terrible opinion to make a horrible decision.
ONE action to spark a series of wild imaginations.
ONE day to make things go from bad to worse.

maybe it's just me.
but frankly,
i'm just senselessly jealous.
that head turn ruined everything else.
my day,
my mood,
my smile,
and that sanctuary of trust.
everything else didn't help.
:(

yay. so now i'm feeling that unbearable cardiac wrench deep down within.
getting to sleep seems to be the toughest thing on earth.
enunciating everything on my mind seems difficult too.

Okayie. I JUST UPLOADED THE PICTURES (grabbed from amelia ng's blog)
YAYIE! i can't wait for the rest though. BUT OH WELL. i'll just make do first.
nothing underwater though. (: (i'm anxiously waiting. )x)

neway; here's whassup.
the first few days...
was more about getting acquainted knowing the people who were on the dive trip together so we could complete the artificial reefs right!

Photobucket
so AMELIA and DELPHINE were the first 2 humans i got to know. I slept with them in the same room in RIVERVIEW hotel at Mersing, Malaysia. It wasn't exactly a hotel. But, it wasn't that bad luh. Honestly, as long as you get a Bathroom, an aircon, a teevee with reception, and fairly comfortable beds, it CAN BE recognized as a DECENT HOTEL.
had supper at their 'canteen'- then went to a 7-11 which was 10min away from the hotel. Had loads of fun chatting with all the girls. HAHA. didn't know why i was so high after drinking bak kut teh (which seriously didn't taste like it, since their BAK is CHICKEN instead of the usual spare rib used to boil the soup. HAHA.)
slept at 2 and woke up at 0530am to catch the speedboat to Pulau Aur.

So we were feeding mosquitoes while waiting at the swamp. HAHA.
but the boat ride there was alright.
transferred to a little boat to reach Atlantis Bay.

Photobucket

Photobucket
the view there was awesome. (: and nothing could beat that throughout the five days. HAHA.

and here's a few impt people.
Photobucket
Ross Valentine Errol, a dive master.

Photobucket
Sek Chuan, a Marine Biologist. (his brain is highly complex. you ask him anything from the sea. and he gives you its identity, scientific background, history, etc.etc.)

Photobucket
and Nash Abdullah. Another professional dive master. Greatly identifiable underwater with those red devilish horns.

there's also Shave, another dive master. But i don't happen to have his picture. Just imagine a botak man who has friggin' cool tattoos. :D

so we had our first dive that very morning. haha! Nash sounded really intimidating when he threatened to not let us dive should we screw up during the first check out dive. i seriously felt cold sweat covering me.
i last dived 4 months ago, how adept could i be? LOL
any oh how, it was great.
i still could rig my tank up with my gear. still wore my dive suit with ease. and enjoyed my dive with gary. haha.
we were too buoyant at first, couldn't sink with only 3 weights. So we had 4 in the end. HEEHEE.
didn't see much fishes though, was a little distracted with all that gear and that awesome feeling of sucking air through a regulator. That gush was just refreshing and being underwater was just.. great.
snapped a photo for AMELIA NG! fully geared. and wet.
Photobucket

stayed up on shore after that dive. only the guys went out. :(
why? because they were simply physically more adept. what a sexist statement. -.- SERIOUSLY BIASED RIGHT. i believe i have more muscles than some men in this earth.
anyway, the females abandoned on shore had fun chatting away outside the rooms.
Photobucket
Photobucket
and here are the rooms we were sleeping in... i slept with veronica above me. (:

we were talking about everything under the sun!!!!!
and we ended up talking about poodles. haha.
then AMELIA NG took her camera out and we snapped a few pictures. (:
Photobucket
here's ME and THE CUTE SMALL GIRL! AMELIA!

Photobucket
then here is CHARIS, ME and DELPHINE. seriously candid.

so AMELIA said she wanted all of us in ONE picture. and she reached out her cute lil' arms, and SNAPPED!
Photobucket
here is the result. haha.
not that bad was it! lol.

we figured the guys were out on some sashimi buffet and didn't want to share it with us, since they were taking SOOOOO long to come back to shore. but we still waited for them to come back before eating dinner. gees.
meanwhile, we painted the BUOYS!
Photobucket
and signed our names on it! :D
then we SERIOUSLY had dinner. snipped some ropes at night on the beach.
the tide was really low, and a lot of corals were exposed. trampled on some while rolling out the ropes. OH WELLS.
Photobucket

the next day was kinda tiring. we were working hard to create artificial reefs. HEEHEE. straight after breakfast, everyone chionged. (i think)
Photobucket
Photobucket
here's US working hard filing the pipes, so it's rough, has more surface area to volume ratio, and encourages reef growth.
and here's Gary.
Photobucket
sipping ice cold H-TWO-O and basking in the sun. haha.
anyway, it was really tiring.
the files were METAL. trained up my forearm muscles rubbing it up and down the pipes to scratch it.

Photobucket
here's the cementing team. They were all coated with Cement. HAHA. guess they were really pros. They drilled holes, filled the pipes, connected it, and tied them up! WOOHOO! great work well done.
AMELIA stirred the cement for a while. and she crafted some cute stuff. (like her!)
Photobucket
i helped with... supporting the structure as they filled it.
not that tough, but definitely better than just contributing eye power.
in the end, everybody took a break.
Photobucket

Photobucket
here were the remains of the Filing team. TOUGH JOB K. :P

later in the afternoon, when the structures were left to dry up, we went down in search for suitable spots underwater to secure our artificial reef structures, and mooring buoys. (: we were also, to tie up the Ngee Ann Poly acrylic plate to those cement blocks deployed underwater. ROAR.
Photobucket
here's me with the plate. the focus here is not the exchange of the plate. BUT the gloves JANICE was wearing. IT WAS COOL. HONESTLY. Wanted to get a feel of it- heheh. sounds like molestation, but no. it wasn't. btw, JANICE is a really nice girl. haha. very funny too! hahah.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
and here's ME, MICHELLE, AMELIA and KANG w/ the Ngee Ann Poly acrylic plate. HAHA!
so cool right! :D

Photobucket
and there was CHARIS w/ her cool Nikon Camera. it wasn't digital. she used Film! WAHAHA. and i thought it was extinct.
so while they were gearing up....
Photobucket
AMELIA AND I SNAPPED ANOTHER SHOT!
Photobucket
hehehehe. honestly. taking pictures with amelia was great fun. you see her stretch out her arms and SNAP! HAHA.

ah. YOU DO REALIZE BY NOW THERE ARE 2 AMELIAS right? hehehe.
Photobucket
here's the both of them in one shot. (:
one's NG, the other ZHENG. (:
Photobucket
and here is KANG with the I'M GOING TO DIVE shot. didn't know when AMELIA snapped it. but it was really candid. hahaha. bet he didn't know someone was sneaking this shot. HEEHEE.
Photobucket
here's gary and I. funny thing about this picture, is that I'm posing for AMELIA and he's posing for someone else. HAHA.
Photobucket
and here's Chinwoo and Terry. they love taking gay pictures together i guess. haha.
Terry seems to have a long history with the deep ocean. think he logged quite a number of dives already. woohoo. pro kid.
and here's.....
Photobucket
ANTHONY. he loves to distribute CHILL PILLS. and he's with AMELIA ZHENG.
he's one of the favourite 'taupok' targets by the guys. always being rolled in sand when he's wet, or buried in sand, or squashed by a few hundred kilos of human meat. sounds like a sad case, but he's really funny. haha.

we ended the dives in the late evening. (: and the seniors decided to take a shower OUTSIDE! :D so we had this eye feast on JANICE in her SEXY BIKINI. (not sure if you consider the rest eye candy... but. yeah.)
Photobucket
Photobucket
everyone kinda lazed around till Dinner. then Kang ventured to the top of the rocks. and i guess AMELIA snapped him. (:
Photobucket
that night was pretty much alright. Lights out time was pushed back to 2300pm so most of the people were watching a movie on Kang's laptop.
AMELIA, Gary, Gman and I were playing this long and tiresome round of dai di. and the lecturers and the divemasters were chatting about diving and stuff. (:
The next day was great too. played dai di in the SAND in the morning when the first group went out to dive.
the while waiting period was really long, but still entertaining. haha.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
then it was FINALLY OUR TURN TO DIVE!!!!!! woohooo.
the guys were to deploy the artificial reef structures since it was really heavy and the girls were to go down with the corals to tie!
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
i was carrying this container of corals down that had a creature living in it!
it looked kinda like a spider, but i guess it was a crab! HAHA! it was really cute!!it crawled out of the container underwater while i was descending and hung onto my forefinger with much fright. so i kinda... looked after it for the next 15 minutes. HEHEHE. made sure it wasn't all squashed up by us humans while they were busy securing the corals onto the structure underwater. but i think it was swept away when i passed JANICE her camera and he crawled over to cling onto her BCD. oh wells. :D
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
after completing the reef structure underwater and snapping a few shots, we went for a lil leisure dive around the area!! :D
our total bottom time was about .... 40 min? LOL! WOOHOOOOOO!
saw this humongous BUMP HEAD PARROTFISH! :D
we were seriously quite satisfied i guess.
after we got back on shore and had our lunch, we took a boat out to the main village at pulau aur. the main aim was to find out if the villagers' lives were affected after the surrounding waters were turned into a marine park and fishing was prohibited. they were apparently fishermen.
but frankly, nobody really bothered. we had so much fun running about the village, buying drinks, snapping pictures and just having fun.
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
here's the group picture of the girls outside the primary school at Pulau Aur! (:
There you have DELPHINE, MICHELLE, ME, AMELIAS, and VERONICA! (:
HEEHEE! SO FUNNNNNNNNNNNNN -
Photobucket
then here's a group picture with Miss Eugenia Teo outside the school too.
apparently guys love to pop into pictures from behind. you do happen to notice that anthony jumped from behind in the first and gary in the second? HAHA.

and here's my personal favorite so far! (:
Photobucket
amelia looks REALLY REALLY CUTE HEREEEEEEEEEEEE xD

we had a lot of fun exploring the village at the back of the school after. Cow dung was everywhere and most of us were chasing cows. HAHA. while chasing cows? amelia and i stopped to snap a shot. HAHAHA.
Photobucket
Photobucket
we climbed all the way to the top to say hello to this 40+ year old fisherman. He lives with..... his family. has a few hens and cocks. and a parrot.
lol. mosquitoes were feeding on us. and it kinda irritated me quite a bit. so we escaped the place with much pleasure.
took the boat back from the jetty. and the ride was pleasantly pleasant. (:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
the last day was even more fun. One leisure dive in the morning at Lang Bay! (: The weather was refreshing. The water was refreshing. The fishes were refreshing. WOOHOO~
