YAY. i knocked off early today, thanks to my ill sis.
poor girl.
but she saved me from the mess.
(:
what's wrong with her?
she's down with fever, and has been vomiting green gooey stuff, or whatever you call it.
but i guess she is alright now, thanks to my tender-loving-care.
HAHA.
so now, i probably found some time for myself.
away from all the people in the world who are goldlion fans, or van garie lovers, or even san raphael's supporters.
ughh-
what crap.
okay,
i needa rant.
haha.
working at the expo isn't actually hard work.
its more like,
coping with the crowds that come in at irregular intervals.
so one moment you're ear drums are ringing because your wagons are deserted and the next moment you're flooded with questions from customers grabbing the best buys.
well, its a good deal you see.
a 99 dollar shirt selling at only 20 bucks.
but hey,
COME ON.
you're at a SALE.
you can't expect a wide range of choices for you to pick from.
PUH-LEASE.
and i have customers shoving me shirts and say, " I WANT THIS IN 15." when i told them a second ago that all the size 15 shirts are placed in column five of the second last wagon.
ughh.
then there is those fake taitais who come almost everyday, ask if new stock has arrived, and proceed to mess up your wagons by searching through the batch of stock they rummaged through the day before.
OMG? i mean, HEY, if you're so free, and you're so rich, THEN VISIT A BOUTIQUE.
...
don't come asking a salesgirl everyday whether a new batch of goods has arrived for a sale.
no manager in the right mind would send new stock worth tonnes of bucks to a warehouse sale where they can only earn measly pennies from cheapskate people like you.
...
and then i have customers who come to me at peak hours and scream, " Pick a few designs of size 16 for me, i have no time."
DUH, i don't have time too.
...
and then there are customers who refuse to believe what you say.
i mean, OBVIOUSLY, if i pack and repack and repack and repack and repack and repack and repack and repack and repack the wagons over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again,
then OBVIOUSLY, i can almost MEMORISE the SIZE and DESIGN and exactly where it is located.
but most customers still refuse to believe me.
so what's the use of asking me?
they ask me if there's size for a particular design, and when i say no, they move on to the next wagon and continue to search and ask me the exact same question, to which i give the exact same reply.
CRAP.
and i have customers getting a short sleeved shirt and asking me for a long sleeved shirt with the exact same design.
..
MADNESS.
i tell you.
and even when i write in caps on huge cardboards that SIZES ARE IN ORDER, they still refuse to believe that the particular design they are looking for has no size.
...
the craziest people don't only mess up the wagons,
they take out your boxes below the wagons and start rummaging as well.
sick? YA, extremely.
...
the wagon filled with pants is always crowded with people of size 34.
funny thing is,
my colleagues and i always inform the customers that SIZE 34 IS SOLD OUT.
but they just love to touch, feel, pick, and throw it aside.
..
bah.
I HATE WAREHOUSE SALES.
but i can't say much can i,
since i earn commission.
and the sales is indeed fantastic.
haha.
but i get quite fed up with over demanding customers.
they just don't see the point that it is a SALE and there is no point in ME trying to lie to them that no stock is coming. THERE IS NO NEW STOCK COMING.
anyone in the right mind would try to clear off old stock at times like these, especially since it is a SALE.
ah, wells.
the kiasu spirit still lives.
kids are cute,
i've seen plenty at the expo.
but there are a handful of weird ones.
there's one who purposely lie on his belly and start wailing, and when no one notices, he stands up, walks to another spot and reenact the whole scene again.
haha.
then there are cute little girls who take your display, and wear them like little dresses and can't get out of their shirts.
then there are those naughty ones who spill popcorn all over your wagon.
oh wells.
kids.
haha.
i really think i don't look my age.
because since i started work, i've got dozens of people asking if i study at NUS, or if i'm 17.
OMG?
no, i've just started living life as a sixteen year old and i still haven't watched my first NC16 movie.
:/
happy new year everyone.
best wishes.
lols.
CHEERS- no carlsberg.
